A good fit

Panenco fits organizations that need a Belgian engineering partner for a B2B SaaS product or an enterprise AI system that has to reach production. The studio describes itself as a boutique firm of 40 people working alongside client teams, and states it serves SMEs, start-ups, scale-ups and corporates. A second published audience is private-equity and venture-capital deal teams commissioning technical due diligence before an investment decision. Buyers who need on-site collaboration or long-running joint teams are addressed explicitly in its Siemens and PwC Belgium case studies.

Services

Panenco publishes six service lines: AI solution delivery (use-case discovery, evaluation pipelines and deployment into an existing stack), engineering efficiency training for in-house teams working with coding agents, software engineering from definition and prototyping through architecture and two-week agile delivery, technical due diligence for deal teams, technical refactoring of legacy codebases, and venture building with founders. Its published AI track runs a two-week strategy and definition phase followed by an eight-week pilot build. The company states it is ISO 27001:2022 certified by DQS.

Representative work

Published case studies include an eight-year collaboration with PwC Belgium on audit and assurance software, where combined teams share product ownership and Panenco contributes design and engineering. For Siemens Digital Industries Software, the studio has developed a web interface for the Model-Based System Testing team's simulation and testing platform, working on site and using Siemens' requirement-tracing tooling. For DataCamp it built a six-month LLM pipeline that transcribes and summarizes more than 500 platform webinars. Other named clients include argenx, IFS, Copaco, Van Moer Logistics and Thomas More.

Notes

Panenco publishes a Leuven headquarters at Diestsevest 25, an Antwerp office at Frankrijklei 5 and an office in Kyiv, Ukraine; its registered legal address is Kapeldreef 60, 3001 Leuven (VAT BE0650.747.066). It was founded in September 2014 by Egwin Avau and Maarten Baeten after their studies at KU Leuven. The public site is English-language. It publishes no dedicated contact page, so the About page, which carries the generic company contact address and phone number, is used as the buyer contact destination.
